Not sure if it's that "New Century" ship or not, but it's certainly not an aircraft carrier. Notice that there is no offset landing deck.

The only other carrier class I can think of that's in service, is rectangular shaped, and would be in U.S. Waters is the Essex class. This simply does not have the 'island' that carriers always have on the starboard side of the flight deck. Wed May 02 11:57:10 -0700 2007 |
