From: SzityaSedan Crater. The largest cratering shot in the Plowshare Program was fired at the Nevada Test Site on July 6, 1962. The 104 kiloton explosive, buried under 635 feet of desert alluvium, displaced 12 million tons of earth and formed a crater 320 feet deep and 1,280 feet in diameter.
