This is the USS Abraham Lincoln, CVN-72. (You can see the 72 outlined on the very forward end of the flight deck.) It is in its home port of Naval Station Everett.Thu Jul 28 04:36:05 -0700 2005 From: thebadchopper

I checked it out w/ MSN Virtual earth (through www.flashearth.com) and it is 72, Google's lower res pictures causes the 72 to almost disappear. With MSN its more visable.

Lemme add to my previous comment and see if anyone has backing info for either comment.
Mon Sep 19 20:41:53 -0700 2005 I went back onto MSN's view of the ship and it appears under the stuff on the bow the number looks like a 7/ (see here) CVN 71 is the USS Theodore Roosevelt, but the TR is stationed in Norfolk, VA, so I'm not sure anymore... From: Bokchoi Cowboy

That's what I would do since the carrier isn't unknown anymore..Wed Sep 21 03:42:58 -0700 2005 |
