It's great to see Quakers Hill and HMAS Nirimba from above after nearly 40 years. My DAMPIER accommodation building is still there!

KK, this is not HMAS Nirimba. It is Richmond RAAF Base. See the latest entry for Australia and it shows HMAS Nirimba at Quakers Hill. Your memory is a little fuzzy after 40 years.........

Hi Shadrack, if you go to the Map where its shows Quakers Hill, and then click the Satellite images you can clearly see HMAS Nirimba, part of which was Scofields airfield. My memory not fuzzy after all. Anyway great to read your comments!

KK, the Google Map you are looking at right now, directly above this text is of Richmond RAAF Base located at Richmond, NSW. HMAS Nirimba is located at Quakers Hill, 15.27 kilometres to the south east of Richmond.

Your comments posted attached to the Google Map image of Richmond RAAF Base are as follows:

This Google Map is clearly NOT HMAS Nirimba, Quakers Hill. It is Richmond RAAF Base, Richmond.
