zoom out a step or two- you'll see a half-round.

Sorry, guys....I know it *looks* like a crater in this view, but Antarctica is hugely distorted here, like in a Mercator Projection map. See the Google Earth view; the semi-circle is gone. If it were a crater, it would be the largest on Earth (even in the Solar System!), incorporating about a quarter of Antarctica.
