Sun Jan 29 19:00:24 -0800 2006 The Rossville shipyard is not the repository of old ships by the city. It is owned by Witte BioMarine, and is a private scrap steel business. There were old trains and WWI and WWII vehicles and equipment there too. Much of the steel was sold to Japanese companies long ago. There used to be a "spooky" gothic revival mansion in the yard. There was at least one suicide that took place in the yard too. |
