It went live in 1989 and quickly became the market leader. It can only be received on cable in Flanders. '''VMMa''', or ''' Vlaamse Media Maatschappij''', is the mother company which also operates the TV channels KANAALTWEE and JIM. Next to that they operate the radio channel Q-Music. In 2005 there were talks about VMMa buying the Flemish part of Canal_Plus from '''Telenet''' but this fell through. In 2006 rumours were spread that the RTL Group would buy 50% of VMMa. VTM as wel as RTL denied those plans. As of 2004, VTM has lost its market dominance back to the public broadcaster VRT. ==See also== * List_of_television_channels_in_Belgium ==External links== * VTM * Kanaal Twee * Jim TV * Q-music * VMMa Nl:Vlaamse_Televisie_Maatschappij Category:Flanders Category:Television_stations_in_Belgium
