As General Contractor for the construction of this power plant, Eby set a company and Florida record-breaking continuous placement of 5850 cubic yards of concrete, which was achieved in 26-1/2 hours. The circular foundation for the chimney structure is 136 feet in diameter and is 10 feet thick, supporting 640-foot stacks for the plant. The project also included more than 300 tons of rebar. The record-breaking nighttime pour was completed by two shifts in 34-degree, 30 mph winds, and rainy weather. Neither crew reported any accidents or first aid cases.
