Irrigation Circles Abstracted

I like the way irrigation circles look and I like what they do: make it easier to irrigate (water) a field. I also like the way they are placed relative to one another, houses, roads, towns, and irregular terrain like streams or hills.
When you back up (38,000 feet) you see things you can’t see when you’re down there (crop signs…) and things get a bit more abstract. At 38,000 feet functionality falls away and they are so much decoration: polka-dots on a background with a road painted through.
