This site is the former Lion Country Safari, which can be seen here in the past and present. Sadly, this attraction is no longer operating.
Tue Sep 20 12:16:32 -0700 2005 The detail area in the center of that Google Maps pic is the Wild Rivers Water Park. The area at the top that looks like a meandering roadway is the old Lion Country Safari. Next to the lake is an open grassy area that has a blue colored pavilion and some sports courts. This is an area that is used for festivals, picnics, and shows called Hidden Valley. To the south you will also notice an amphitheater. This is the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater - Los Angeles (aka Irvine Meadows Amphitheater). |
