Inaugurated in 1970, March, Bandeirantes Palace has architecture in eclectic style,
remembering the italian buildings of the 40s. Initially created to host Conde Francisco Matarazzo Foundation, the place became property of the
São Paulos State Government, which transformed part of the building into a memorial.
Actual seat of the State Government, it counts with a meaningful collection of
pieces of brazilian artists like Portinari, Aldo Bonadei, Djanira, Almeida Júnior, Victor Brecheret, Ernesto de Fioiri and Aleijadinho.
