Weather
| General |
HMAS WATERHEN is located in Waverly, on the foreshore
of Sydney harbour. Fleet Intermediate Maintenance Authority (FIMA)
– WATERHEN and the Minewarfare Faculty are located within
HMAS WATERHEN. |
| Training |
The courses conducted at the Minewarfare Faculty vary in duration
from eight to 16 weeks. Officers and sailors are provided with both
initial and advanced, specialist training. |
| Working Routine |
The establishment’s normal working hours are 0745-1545 from
Monday to Thursday and 0745-1300 on Friday. |
| Weather |
As for HMAS WATSON. The average water temperatures in Sydney Harbour
range between 14° and 22° Celsius on the surface throughout
the year, the warmest month being February and the coldest month being
July. Average water temperatures within a 15 nautical mile radius
of Sydney range between 16° and 24° Celsius on the surface
and 14° and 19° Celsius at a depth of 100 metres.
