This is a cool airport to fly into. It is built out of two mountaintops- the tops were blasted and the fill used to join them together. It's cool to drop down onto the runway, since it pretty much fills the top of the mountain/plateau.
Wed Sep 28 11:08:07 -0700 2005 AVX is also known for the Buffalo Spring Station, which serves buffalo burgers. The buffalo were brought to the island in the 1920s for a film production. They've been allowed to roam ever since. |
