Formula 1 racing is the most important category in motorsport. Through the years, it had several Grand Prix (GP’s) account. Whoever gets the most points, will be world champion. All this is organized by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile). Famous racing teams include Renault, Ferrari and Williams.

On the Formula 1 racing there are 11 teams, each with two participants. Such participants feel supported by a huge team of people for things like the technology, tactics, pit stops, and so on. A Formula 1 team will cost the sponsor a lot of money as the price of formula car parts such as tyres and seats cost thousand and thousands of dollars, but also gives them a lot of money because millions of people worldwide watch. For a GP, there is always a qualification, where is decided who will be allowed to start. Then there is the race, which often lasts approximately 1.5 hours. The higher a driver finishes the more points the person gets. At the end of the year is the one with the most points crowned world champion.

Teams are continually searching for improvements to the car. However, by the FIA, such restrictions are limited on the engine, otherwise perhaps the safety of drivers could be in jeopardy.
